About the Author.

Because I left school before turning sixteen I considered myself uneducated in the fundamentals of any given branch of learning and laboured aimlessly within a sheltered existence for many years. Then, at the riper age of thirty four, with a lot of doubt and disbelief in my own abilities I initiated a self-willed change in attempt of altering the course of my future. Firstly I completed the requirements for matriculation and then advanced in further studies with the completion a variety of degrees; including a ‘Master of Education'. This move was not for self-aggrandisement, but for personal satisfaction. Before this, in my late teens and through to my early twenties I jotted notes on the pages of a ‘Jumbo’ writing pad about my childhood memories, it was thought lost, but unintentionally stored amongst other paraphernalia only to be discovered in my mid-fifties. So after years of arduous but enjoyable learning when I was scavenging through junk and stumbled across those lost notes I decided to try my hand at writing. They read easily with childish expression due to my poor scholastic abilities at the time of penning, but the find proved invaluable in providing a basis for which this book took composition. Although I do not consider myself an intellectual, an academic, or a quality writer, I do regard this book as a reward to myself for all the hard work I accomplished over the years.
The title of this book, ‘Fictitious Facts I’, seemed obvious for the rubrics of my first creation because it allowed for the facts of my life to coalesce with the fictitious crimes, immoral psychological behaviours, and physical abuse endured and committed by the fabricated protagonist Don Scotsdon. Like Don I grew up in an isolated environment and in colligation with the title as I reflect in the role of this imaginary character I proffer a relation to the torments and bewilderment to life’s order he endured.
